Questions are based on the following passage.
In 1939 two brothers, Mac and Dick McDonald, started a drive-in restaurant in SanBernadino, California.They carefully chose a busy corner for their location.They had runtheir own businesses for years, first a theater, then a barbecue(烤肉)restaurant, thenanother drive-in.But in their new operation, they offered a new, shortened menu: Frenchfries , hamburgers, and sodas.To this small selection they added one new concept: quickservice, no waiters or waitresses, and no tips.
Their hamburgers sold for fifteen cents.Cheese was another four cents.Their Frenchfries and hamburgers had a remarkable uniformity, for the brothers had developed a strictroutine for the preparation of their food, and they insisted on their cooks' sticking to theirroutine.Their new drive-in became incredibly popular, particularly for lunch.People droveup by the hundrcds during the busy noontime.The self-service restaurant was so popularthat the brothers had allowed ten copies of their restaurant to be opened.They were contentwith this modest success until they met Ray Kroc.
Kroc was a salesman who met the McDonald brothers in 1954, when he was sellingmilkshake-mixing machines.He quickly saw the unique appeal of the brothers' fast-foodrestaurants and bought the right to franchise(特许经营)other copies of their restaurants.
The agreement struck included the right to duplicate the menu, the equipment, even theirred and white buildings with the golden arches(拱门).
Today McDonald's is really a household name.Its names for its sandwiches have cometo mean hamburger in the decades since the day Ray Kroc 'watched people rush up to orderfifteen-cent hamburgers.In 1976, McDonald's had over 1 billion dollars in total sales.Itsfirst twenty-two years is one of the most incredible success stories in modern Americanbusiness history.

7、 阅读材料,回答题。
In what now seems like the prehistoric times of computer history, the early postwar era( 战后时期), there was a quite widespread concern that computers would take over the world from man one day. Already today, less than forty years later, as computers are relieving us of more and more of the routine tasks in business and in our personal lives, we are facing with a less dramatic but also less foreseen problem. People tend to be over trusting (过分信任) of computers and are reluctant to challenge their authority. Indeed, they behave as if they were hardly aware that wrong buttons maybe pushed, or that a computer may simply malfunction(失灵).
Obviously, there would be no point in investing(投入) in a computer if you had to check all its answers, but people should also rely on their own internal computers and check the machine when they have the feeling that something has gone wrong. Questioning and routine double checks must continue to be as much a part of good business as they were in pre computer days. Maybe each computer should come with the following warning: for all the help this computer may provide, it should not be seen as a substitute for fundamental thinking and reasoning skills.
What is the main purpose of this passage?
A.To look back to the early days of computers.
B.To explain what technical problems may occur with computers.
C.To discourage unnecessary investment in computers.
D.To warn against the blindness to the probable shortcomings of computers.
