China has blocked another 244 porn websites in the last week, bringing the total number of blocked ones to 726 since Jan. 5.
　　About one third of the closed websites had not registered with governmental departments and violated the top legislature’s regulations and other laws regarding public distribution of sexualimages, said a statement issued by the Special Operation Office for Crackdown on Online Porn and Lewd Content.
　　The month-long campaign against Internet porn was launched by the State Council’s Information Office, Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Culture as well as four other government agencies.
