China's top political advisor Jia Qinglin has called for unremitting efforts to promote political advisory work as the country is standing at a "new historical point".
　　He made the call in an article to be published in the journal Qiushi, (Seeking Truth), run by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Jan. 16.
　　He pinpointed the need to sum up achievements and experiences of China's reform and opening up started 30 years ago as the country will mark the 60th founding anniversary of the New China this year.
　　Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), urged all the advisors to earnestly perform their duty in political consultation, democratic supervision and participation in and discussion of state affairs.
