1.Teacher asks students to pick out the appositive clauses from the following sentences.

He said that he had seen the film.

He didn't answer the question where we should put the chair.The magazine that I bought yesterday is lost.

I have no idea what has happened to him.

2. Teacher presents sentences with some conjunctions missing.Students work in pairs and try to fill in the blanks with proper conjunctions according to the meaning and structure of the sentences.

We heard the news____ our team had won.

They were worried over the fact ____you were sick The news____we are having a holiday tomorrow is not true.

IV. Production

Four students in a group. Teacher asks students to make sentences by using the appositive clause to describe their dreams or puzzling problems. Later teacher will invite some students to share their sentences,and then other students act as judges and evaluate their performances,choosing the best one,giving a present as encouragement.

V. Summary

Students will summarize what  they have learned today.

Ⅵ.Homework

Students should use the appositive clause to write their diary asmuch as possible.
